On November 7, 2019, Steve Madden Australia held a MADDMAN screening. This private cinematic oasis educated selected guests on the rise, fall and resurrection of Steve Madden’s billion-dollar empire. The event held place at Sweethearts Rooftop, a rooftop bar with movie screening potential located in the trendy Sydney suburb of Potts Point. A pop-up sneaker bar was situated at the rooftop, for designs to painted onto sneaker styles selected by guests prior to the event. The night consisted of top tier media and influencers including Sonny Webster, Coco Mek, Jamie Azzopardi, Armando, as well as Stellar Magazine, Men’s Health, GRAZIA, Marie Claire, and Instyle.

On June 12, 2019 Signal Brands and Nine West handbags co-sponsored the 13^th annual Independent Handbag Designer Awards. This year our category was “The Cult Bag Inspired by Nine West. A Creative Way to Design a Waist Bag for Day to Night”. Submissions begin in January and start as a sketch that can be designed by hand or computer. The five Finalists that are selected by an esteemed judging panel are responsible for making their bags within three weeks of being notified. The winner chosen this year by the Nine West Design Team was Yujin Kim from Korea. Signal Brands’ CEO, Jason Rimokh presented the award to Yujin. Congratulations to all the finalists and the winner, Yujin!

On Monday June 10, 2019 at Cipriani on East 42 Street in NYC, Signal Brands and Nine West handbags co-sponsored the ACE Awards. The gala celebrates the contributions of designers and design houses that have made outstanding achievements in accessory design. The ACE Awards are given to designers, retailers, and celebrities. Nine West handbags also provided the gift bags that were given out at the end of the evening.

On Wednesday, April 3, GUESS hosted the ultimate kick off to Festival Season for LA fashion influencers and VIP’s. The Festival inspired evening took place at Lombardi House in Hollywood where over 150 guests were invited to partake in mini festival-themed activations. At the GUESS handbag activation, attendees were able to select their favorite handbag style from the GUESS Originals capsule and head over to the embossing station to add a personalized touch to their festival ready gear.

The launch party took place at a massive warehouse in Hollywood ahead of J Balvin’s appearance in the opening segment of Sunday’s Grammy Awards broadcast to showcase the fanny pack collaboration. To bring the collection’s vibrant Miami inspirations to life, the space was infused with bright, colorful moments to also reflect his mantra for the the capsule, “nice energy, nice vibras, just smile and that’s what we need, all love.”

The glamorous Cory Bungalow nestled in the Hollywood Hills was transformed into a spring oasis and acted as the perfect backdrop to launch the collection, highlighting the new line. Guests sipped champagne while enjoying manicures, fashion illustrations with their favorite Nine West Spring 2019 handbag and browsed the latest spring collection.
